Dr. Seuss Night!

Tuesday, August 3rd, is our Dr. Seuss themed Relief Society Activity at 7pm.  It should be a lot of fun!   There will be a total of 4 classes, but there will only be time for 2...so choose wisely. :)  Babysitting will be provided by the Young Women.

Class 1 - If I Ran the Circus:  Family Home Evening Ideas taught by Colleen Dutton & Sunshine Mellor

Class 2 - Green Eggs & Ham: Cooking with the Patolos (not green eggs and ham....)

Class 3 - The Foot Book: Pedicures taught by Melody Rivera (You will need to bring some of your own supplies for sanitary reasons)

Class 4 - The Book About Me:  Family History Basics & Personal Histories/Blogging by Karon Kelley & Rachel Keyser

August 5th Park Day Change

It seems as if most of the local splash parks have closed on weekdays...so for Thursday's (August 5th) Park Day we will be trekking over to Dublin to a cool splash park Tanya found.  It is free to attend, just a little bit of gas and time to get there.  The address is 4201 Central Parkway (Tassajara Road and Central Parkway), Dublin.  (http://www.ci.dublin.ca.us/DepartmentSubLevel2.cfm?PL=Rec&SL=prkfac&dsplyID=430)  FYI, it is supposed to be warm in Dublin that day according to the forecast, so the kids shouldn't freeze. :)

July Book Group Meeting

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 at 7pm
Union City Building

You are invited to come and help review the book My Name is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok.

~The book is about a young jewish boy growing up in Brooklyn.  He is interested in painting, and starts to copy paintings of nuds and the crucifiction. This does not go over well with the jewish community. ~

It should be an interesting read. All are welcome to come and socialize.
